DAY-1 Trivandrum to Kovalam
On your arrival at Trivandrum international Airport/ Railway station, meet our executive to Welcome & receive you and drive to Kovalam. Day free to enjoy the beach life. You may go to city tour of Trivandrum during after noon. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY-2 Kovalam to Kanyakumari (Cape)
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari (Cape Comerin)(85 Kms Drive 2 Hours),the southern most tip of Indian peninsula.Enroute,visit the Sucheendram Temple & Padmanabhapuram palace. Enjoy the sightseeing place of Kanyakumari -Vivekananda Rock, Vivekananda Temple, Triveni Sangam and Sunset Point. After sunset, drive back to Kovalam. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY-3 Kovalam-Varkkala-Alappuzha
The next day morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Varkala, a quaint little town, which has some of the most scenic of beaches in the state. The beach here is also quiet and unadulterated, set against rocky cliffs. Varkala is also a prominent Hindu pilgrimage centre. A dip in the holy waters of Varkala is said to purify your soul as well as body of all impurities. On reaching there, you can check in at the hotel. Taking the local tour would be the best way of seeing the sights of this beach town; the tour will take you to all the major spots - the Varkala beach, the Janardanaswamy temple, the nature centre etc.
Alappuzha or Alleppey is popularly known as the ‘Venice of the East’ owing to its extraordinary natural beauty. An intricate network of backwaters bordered by lush greenery crisscross the land, which abounds in coconut palms. The beaches of Alappuzha are also famous for their blue waters and clear skies. After breakfast on your first day here, you can take the local tour which will cover the Alappuzha beach, Ambalappuzha; a pilgrim centre, Karumadi etc. Later in the day, you can return to the hotel and retire for the night.
DAY-4 Alappuzha to Kumarakum (Houseboat)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alappuzha jetty, by noon Houseboat will pick you from the resort jetty for a night stay. Your meals are cooked and served on board. Explore the amazing backwater life of Kerala...Overnight at the Houseboat.
DAY-5 Kumarakum to Thekkady (Periyar)
After breakfast check out from the Houseboat and drive to Thekkady (170 km – 04 hours). The Wildlife destination of Kerala. It’s also known as the spice bag of the state. You can enjoy a beautiful journey through the hills and valleys of Western Ghats to reach this jungle destination. Check in your hotel and later go for an optional Kathakali show, Spice plantation visit, elephant ride, or an Ayurvedic massage treatment there. Also have an amazing boat ride in Periyar Lake which flows through the Periyar tiger reserve. You will have chance to watch the wild animals like elephant, Bison, Sambar, Deer etc are roaming the both shore. Also you can get engaged with lot of optional activities like elephant safari, Jeep Safari, Bamboo rafting, Spice plantation visit etc. Overnight at hotel.
DAY-6 Thekkady to Munnar
Today after breakfast check out your hotel and drive towards Munnar. The green Paradise of Kerala with unending expands of Tea plantations, spice plantations and a variety of flora and fauna. On the way visit two beautiful waterfalls like Check in your hill resort and after noon at leisure/ you can go to visit Munnar town and nearby places & Overnight stay.
DAY-7 Munnar
Today after breakfast, go for sightseeing at Mattupetty Dam; a beautiful spot for viewing the picturesque Munnar, Kundala Lake- a natural lake with recreational facilities like boating and having excellent view of Western Ghats as well as the forest surrounded with. Also visit Eco point, Blossom Park, TATA Tea Museum and tea plantations. After noon you can visit Eravikulam National park; where the endangering Nilgiri Tahr is conserved and can have the breath taking view of Munnar Hills. Later drive back to your resort for Overnight stay.
DAY-8 Munnar to Cochin
Today after breakfast check out your hotel and drive towards Cochin (130 Kms). Proceed for Cochin city tour.-St Francis Church, built in1510 by friars brought to India by Vasco da Gama, is the first European Church built in India and is the site where Vasco da Gama was buried. The Jewish synagogue was built in 1568, Chinese hand-painted tiles are one of the attraction.This, and the only Synagogue in India has a nostalgic past of a Jewish Diaspora. The ‘’Dutch Palace’’ was built in the 1550s;the palace contains excellent mythological murals and rare example of traditional Keralite flooring-a subtle mix of burnt coconut shells,lime,plant juices and egg whites-which gives the effect of polished marble. DAY-9 Cochin –Athirapally-Thrissur
After breakfast, drive to Thrissur)(87 Kms Drive 2 Hours).Enroute,visit the Athirapally Waterfalls. The scenic beauty of Athirapilly waterfalls presents a spectacular visual extravagance to visitors. A very popular picnic spot, Athirapilly is located close to Chalakudy in Kerala. The falls are located amidst dense forests and the entire region looks ‘picture-perfect’ in every way. Athirapilly-Vazhachal waterfalls are situated on the edge Sholayar forest ranges, just 5 kms apart.This sparkling cascade of silvery water, falls from a height of approximately 80 mts to join the Chalakudy River below... DAY-10 Thrissur
Early morning Visit Guruvayur Temple, after breakfast Visit to Sakthan Tampuran Palace, Archeological Museum, Zoo, Thrissur Town Hall, Bible Tower,Vllengankunnu Bhuvanewari Navagraha Temple,Paramekkavu Bhagavathi Temple,Vadakkumnathan Temple etc…, drive back and Overnight at the hotel.
DAY-11 Thrissur to Calicut (Kozhikode)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Calicut (110 km, 02.15 hours) Kozhikode is a beautiful city located in the state of Kerala near the Malabar Coast. This place is also known as Calicut and has played a very important role in the Indian history. Being an important point for eastern spice trade during the middle Ages, it was fondly called the "City of Spices". Today it stands out as one of the most visited tourist spots because of its portrayal of gorgeous nature along with outstanding human creation. Recently in 2012, the place was tagged as "City of Sculptures" as various sculptures are located in the city.
After spending sometime at leisure, visit Kozhikode beach. An old lighthouse and the two crumbling piers, each more than a hundred years old, add more charm to this pleasing seashore. Entertainment facilities such as the Lions Park for children and the Marine water aquarium are added attractions at this beach. Later, drive to the nearby Kappad Beach - a historically significant location... It was here that Vasco Da Gama landed on May 27, 1498 - opening the first sea route from Europe to India. Enjoy the charming coastline of Kappad that ranks among the best in Kerala. Overnight stay at Kozhikode.
DAY-12 Calicut to Wayanad
Today, let us unveil the natural wonders at Kerala's Green Paradise. Precede to Wayanad... upon reaching visit Banasura dam, the natural earthern dam site, where you can avail optional boating facility. Then visit Kuruva Dweep, an uninhabited island of evergreen forest. The total area of the Kuruva Island is about 950 acres. Rare birds, orchids and herbs are the prime attractions here. Overnight stay at Wayanad.
DAY-13 Wayanad
Enjoy a full day sightseeing at Wayanad... Explore Edakkal caves, known for its rich heritage value. What make these massive caves special are the artistic carvings dating back to pre-historic era. The carvings represent human and animal figures and objects of human use and symbols. They indicate the presence of a civilized human population - much before the known times. Later, visit Muthanga wild life sanctuary, the largest wildlife sanctuary in the Malabar region. Take a drive to 'Soochippara Waterfalls', a 3 tier waterfall situated in the dense forest. It is so-called as the force of water here is quite high ('Soochi' means 'Needle' in local language)! Then visit Chembra peak, the highest peak in Wayanad (2100 meters above sea level). Also visit 'Pookottu Lake', a perennial fresh water lake in green mountains. DAY-14 Wayanad to Kannur
After breakfast, begin your journey to Kannur. En route, visit Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach (the only Drive in Beach in the God's own country). Muzhappilangad is a fast developing tourist spot in Kerala. Afterwards, reach Kannur and check in to your hotel for overnight stay.
DAY-15 Kannur to Bekkal
In the morning proceed to Bekal, a small town in North Kerala. Visit Bekal beach. Unwind yourself in this splendid sandy beach. Then visit Bekal Fort, the 17th century fort, which is one of the major attractions in Kerala. Spread over forty acres, Bekal fort is the biggest as well as best preserved fortress in the God's own country. It was by originally built by medieval King Ikkeri Naikkan to shield his kingdom from aggressors. Overnight stay at Bekal.
DAY-16 Bekkal to Mangalore
After breakfast check out from the hotel, you will be dropped to Mangalore to connect your onward journey.
